My trip to sp
Friday, April 29th, 2005Well, after being inspired by my lecturer, Mr.Warren, I’ve finally decided to practice the fine art of blogging. The thing that most intrigued me and ultimately motivated me into writing a blog was that by blogging, I could effectively rant and whine about anything. HHAHAHAAHAHAHA….I Love it! Thanks to all of you wonderful people at friendster:)
Ok, since today hasn’t been much of an exciting day (woke up at 1, ate, lazed around, ate again, the end), I’ll talk a bit on my trip to SP. Here are some of the highlights of my trip:
First night in SP VJ, Benjy and I stayed up the whole night watchin a Stephen Chow flick, man that guy is a comic genius. Well actually, VJ and Ben stayed up all night, I myself K.O’ed sometime around 4am I think. Then the buggers decided to take pictures of me sleeping (it ain’t pretty folks). Luckily I haven’t activated my GPRS service yet so they couldn’t send the photos to their computers and post it up on friendster or something. Ngeh, ngeh, ngeh, ah liew dodged a bullet again.
The next day we all went to Penang to catch the Michael Wong concert at Gurney Plaza. Unfortunately for VJ and Ben, they had tuition at 5p.m. So, the unfortunate series of events played out something like this:
12.30pm: Got into the car with tan, me, ho inn, benjy and vj
1.00pm: Decided to take the bridge instead of the ferry. Lots of panic and concern from Ben and VJ in the car regarding getting back in time for the tuition.
1.45pm: Reached Penang island, panic still high.
2.00pm: Met with a traffic jam. Panic at it’s peak.
2.05pm: Rushed to jetty, Ben and VJ depart for SP without setting foot on Penang Island. Everyone agreed that at least it was a fun road trip. Everyone also agreed that it was probably one of the dumbest things ever done by man.
Okays, summary of the story, Vj and Ben took a ride with us to Penang, spending 5 bucks each on toll fares. Got to the island, drove around for 5 minutes then went to the jetty to start the journey home. Then, spent more money on ferry and bus fares to get back to SP. Sure it was fun, but stupid and rather sad.
*Note: In the end, Benjy and Vj did make it back with time to spare. Yeah!
Haiz, my friends, don’t worry, everyone makes mistakes….
Ok next, in Gurney, during the concert, I was standing in front of this really hot girl in a green-shirt. She later became to be known as short-haired, green-shirt girl. Damn was she hot, and tall, and fair, and athletic, and smart(she speaks Mandarin and English fluently wei…..BIG POINTS!) Anyways, back to the story. So, Michael was up on stage doing his thing right, so the hot girl wanted to take pictures of him. Then, she asked one of her friends to carry her up so that she could get a good shot of Guang Liang. Her small friend of course, couldn’t lift her up. It was at this moment that I saw my chance. Being the good and caring Malaysian citizen that I am, I wanted to offer to help lift her. I mean, with my height, combined with hers, I’m sure she could have gotten a spectacular photo of him. After she had snapped a picture then maybe I could ask for her number so that she could send the pictures to me. I had pictured it so perfectly in my mind. But unfortunately, just as I was pumping my muscles up, another friend of hers, came over and actually managed to hoist her up for a few seconds. I couldn’t believe it, all my plans ruined by this, this, Zena Warrior Princess friend of hers. Haiz, such a good opportunity wasted because of a moment of hesitation….
So kids, the moral of this story is that when you see the opportunity to get a hot girl’s number, you must act fast, if not her Zena Warrior Princess friend may screw it up.
It justs reminds me of what that nice man Eminem said, " You better lose yourself in the music, the moment you own it, do not miss your chance to blow, this opportunity comes once in a lifetime yo"
Ok, thats all for this edition of Thoughts, ideas, opinions and ramblings of a boy. Chiaoz:)>
