It’s only make believe.
August 15th, 2005 by ahliewsblogYop, been a long time since my last post. Getting lazy nowadays I guess. Just came off a 3 day weekend thanks to the haze. Thank goodness it cleared up on Friday afternoon. I missed the sight of the sun and the blue skies. Now it’s heading up north. Haha, your turn Penang… Hopefully somehow it’ll blow back to Sumatra, and then suddenly turn into a whirlwind so that they’ll choke on their own smoke. Choke mother farggers! Choke! The world is already poluted enough without us adding to it. What’s sad is that even in this situation, you can still see people burning their rubbish or leaves, most of them our own neighbours. Dammit, why can’t they put their rubbish in biodegradeble trash bags?? Just stuff the trash in the damn plastic bag, put the plastic bag in the can, and wait for the trash man to magically make the trash dissapear a few days later. But NOO…they have to dig a hole and nuke their rubbish. Buncha idiots, no cow sense. Ok guys, remember to do YOUR part, buy biodegradeble trash bags(those green ones), don’t burn. If you really feel the need to dig a hole in the ground, do it in your garden, and make it a compost heap. It’ll help fertilize your garden and help the environment. Remember what Captain Planet says, "The power is yours".
Okies, now my major concern is my english presentation. It seems that in my eagerness and haste to pick a presentation title a few months back, I have somehow overlooked just one minor detail. Namely, what the hell it means. That’s right guys, I still have no idea what my presentation is about…..yet. I just wanted to give a title so that my lecturer would be happy and leave me alone. Guess at that time, "mid-August" seemed such a long time away. Yup, now that slight miscalculation has come back to bite me back in the ass. And I gotta tell you, my chops hurt bad. Hopefully I’ll gain some enlightenment this week. If not, I’ll have to resort to the time-honoured tradition of make believe. Who’d have thought that my childhood pursuits of using my imagination on those long-lazy afternoons on the playground would serve me well? Haha. Ah Liew, out.
